Sugimoto Portfolio    A portfolio created in an edition of 50, plus 5 artist's proofs, The Origins of Love consists of nine images selected by Hiroshi Sugimoto. Also included is an essay written by the artist. Each portfolio is signed and numbered. One image is an original color print of The Music Lesson. This image, a pigmented color Ink-Jet Print, was specially created and signed by the artist only for this edition. Image Size is 7 13/16 x 6 1/8 in. (198 x 156 mm). The print is mounted onto a 4 Ply Rising Museum Board of 11 13/16 x 11 in. (300 x 280 mm) and covered by a windowed 8 Ply Rising Museum Board. The portfolio also consists of eight offset prints that illustrate works from Sugimoto's Diorama series and are printed in black plus 2PMS onto Parilux Gloss Text paper. Four of these prints are 5 1/8 x 7 13/16 in. (130 x 198 mm) And four are 6 1/8 x 7 13/16 in. (156 x 198 mm). Each print is mounted onto a 4 Ply Rising Museum Board of 11 13/16 x 11 in. (300 x 280 mm). All images are neatly enclosed within a wooden box, specially designed by Sugimoto. This portfolio was produced in honor of The Origins of Love, an exhibition held at Yoshii Gallery from May 1 through June 26, 2004.
