Eric Fischl Born in New York City in 1948, Eric Fischl received his BFA in painting from the California Institute for the Arts in 1972. His work has been included in a number of exhibitions since then, including the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, in 1987; Kunsthalle Basel, Basel, in 1985; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, in 1987; Gemaldegalerie der Akademie der Bildenden Kunste, Vienna 1990; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago 1999; and the Museum fur Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, in 2000.
